A songwriter and background vocalist since 2001, Keri Hilson has been under the radar beginning her career as a writer for artists like Ciara, Usher, Ludacris and even Britney Spears. Appearing in and out of the scene she made a mainstay in the music arena when she signed with Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group in 2006. It was at that time that she began working with Timbaland on her first album, In a Perfect World…, which after many push backs, is due out later this year. But while awaiting the release of her first album she has not strayed away from being a featured artist as she was heavily featured on Timbaland’s Shock Value album on the hit single The Way I Are, as well as Scream, Miscommunication and Hello.
