Montega Jada is Back!
The LOX legend, Jadakiss, now signed to Roc-A-Fella Records is releasing his 3rd solo album after a 5 year hiatus, his last album was the Kiss of Death, released in 2004. This album features production by The Neptunes, Don Cannon, The Inkredibles, Neenyo, Neo Da Matrix, and a host of others. It also features a host of other artists like Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, Bobby Valentino, Ne-Yo, Jasmine Sullivan, Young Jeezy, Faith Evans, etc. The title, The Last Kiss, does not signify that Jadakiss will be retiring after this album but instead this album will be the last time “kiss” will appear in the album title like his previous albums.
The album is definitely a smash hit, even though with all of the artist features, Jadakiss is still able to shine on many of the tracks and still able to switch tones between the hardcore rap he is known for the chill, laid-back type of feel that he can give.
So far, he has 3 singles out that are in rotation – By My Side featuring Ne-Yo, Can’t Stop Me, and his Letter to B.I.G. featuring Faith Evans (tribute to Notorious B.I.G.). His next single will be Death Wish featuring Lil Wayne, set to hit the radio stations soon. Other songs to defintely check out on the album are Something Else featuring Young Jeezy, I Tried featuring Avery Storm, Rocking with the Best featuring Bobby Valentino & Pharrell, and What If featuring Nas – which is a similar politically charged song like Why? from the Kiss of Death album.
