Here’s some more free music for your listening pleasure…I checked these out this week and they have been in constant rotation…Let me know what you think!

If you dig electronica please get to know Santigold. She is the future of the genre and can lead you to listen to other types of music. Since listening to her I have definitely opened my ears to more Electronica. This Southern Gold Mixtape continues her infamous amounts of collabos including the likes of Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and T-Pain on this mixtape. The mixtape features verses off some of hip hops most popular songs (like Lil Wayne Fireman, T-Pain’s I Can’t Believe It, Gucci Mane’s Freaky Girl) over her songs, old and new. A definite must listen.

In preparation for his upcoming album, The Introduction, Young Money’s own Tyga, finally released his mixtape The Potential this week. The mixtape speaks for itself, Tyga definitely as the potential to be a great rapper in the game under the tutelage of Lil Wayne. In not being received as he hoped with his first drop No Introduction last year, Tyga is back to prove that he belongs in the mentions of the next generation of hip hop stars. Check out the title track, The Potential, Stop Accusing, Diddy Bop, How Would You Like, Dad’s Letter, and his BET Freestyle to get familiar with the young artist. Using smooth, slowed down Neptune-like beats, Tyga is able to go harder on his lyrics and put together a good mixtape for the people.
