I have been told that there are certain artists that I need to see perform live before I die…The Roots, D’Angelo, and along with a hosts of others are on this list. Well, after seeing Q-Tip perform friday night at the House of Blues Chicago for the BacardiLive event, I am convinced in saying that he is SOMEONE YOU NEED TO SEE PERFORM LIVE BEFORE YOU DIE. With him perfoming classics ranging from Bonita Applebaum, Sucka N***as, Scenario, Let Me Find My Way, Vibrant Thang, Award Tour, etc. (I can keep going) the crowd never stopped dancing, jumping, and going nuts.
Q-Tip put his whole body and soul into each song, with a James Brown-esque performing style. He interacts with crowd, having each and every person in the place feeling the music. This brother even climbed on top of speakers on each side of the stage while performing his last song, Award Tour (see last video), it was nuts! With so man classics under his belt it was no wonder that the crowd was moving and groving all night…check out the vids…

This is WHAT’S IN MY HEADPHONES…

I saw Q-Tip (and those other guys in ATCQ, lol) perform at Rock The Bells NYC last year. He did a solo set with his hits then brought out Phife and the crew then Busta, which was MAJOR.
He's just a straight-up entertainer, these videos reiterate that. Nice post, Justin!
