I’ve finally been able to write on the greatest entertainer of our time. For a while I didn’t know what to say and didn’t know how to say it but I’ve mourned for long enough. As a person that grew up on the Bad Album and still believed Michael Jackson was my musical hero despite the allegations, I am still truly saddened by his death this past Thursday. MJ’s span ranged across generations – my 80 year old grandfather still loves his music. From the Jackson 5 to his solo career, Michael Jackson was a talent that will never be matched. Selling over 750 million albums and having the most sold albums ever (Thriller), Michael Jackson will forever be the King of Pop and even the King of Music. No one match the reach this one man has had on the world. The internet stopped upon hearing upon his potential death and when people got the word that he passed. I’m truly saddened still 5 days later – music has not sounded the same. To the media – let the man rest in peace, remember him for who he was, how he impacted not only a nation but a world – he was the most giving celebrity of all time and to his family you lost a brother, a father and and a son. My heart goes out to the Jackson family in their time of mourning. So this is me paying my respects finally. When you go out this weekend, continue to have the DJs pay tribute to the King, its the least that they can do. Michael taught us to love, to give, and to be child-like, to have a smile on your face and continue to give to others. Keep his legacy alive.

I wont begin to speak on what I thought of the BET Awards, that would be a waste of my time.
