Fabolous' New Album – Loso's Way

Published on July 28th, 2009

The Brooklyn born rapper, Fabolous, is off a 2 year album hiatus with his 5th studio album Loso’s Way which will be released tomorrow with a movie that will be added to the Deluxe Edition of the album. Known for his slick wordplay and catering to the ladies,  Fabolous connects with a wide range of producers and artists to give you the sound that has kept him relevant and in the game for the past years.  Production comes in the form of names like Jermaine Dupri, Tricky Stewart, Ryan Leslie, The Alchemist, and the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, just to name a few. Features on the album include upcoming Def Jam artist Jeremih, in addition to Keri Hilson, Ryan Leslie, The-Dream, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, and Lil Wayne – so as you can see, LOSO went hard on this album…The first two singles My Time (which I think should be the Madden ’10 theme song) and Throw It In The Bag (which he brought in Drake for the Remix) were released simultaneously with Everything, Everyday, Everywhere set to be the third single off the album.

I was able, just like everyone else, to catch the pre-release on IMEEM this past week and have kept it in rotation since then. Fabolous doesn’t hold anything back on this album – once considered a great feature artist rather an album artist and even with the many features on this album, Fabolous is still able to shine on this album. I feel like there could be 5 potential singles on this song (counting the 3 that are already out).  By Fabolous continuing to give the fly guy rhymes and playing to the ladies he continues to play to both his target audiences – with songs like The Fabolous Life (featuring production and vocals from Ryan Leslie), Making Love feat. Ne-Yo, and Last Time feat. Trey Songz play to the ladies while songs like Throw It In the Bag, My Time, and Money Goes, Honey Stay play to the fly mentality.

I was worried whether this album would live up to the hype of that was out there – but I definitely can listen through the album especially for someone that still listens to the Street Dreams album 6 years later. Grab it here: Loso’s Way [Deluxe Edition][CD/DVD] Look out for the movie too!

This is WHAT’S IN MY HEADPHONES…
