Dj Premier is one of the best producers to ever do it. And Guru has one of the most distinctive voices of any lyricist given the opportunity to spit over one of his beats. His laid back and relaxed demeanor blended perfectly with the music that made for a match in any self respecting hip hop head’s heaven. Throwback Thursday is going to take it back to when mc’s were ok with being themselves but still brought the “mass appeal” to audiences across the globe.

What makes this video so dope is the fact that  no one was trying to be cool or look cool. Guru was simply delivering the rhymes with his crew in settings that any body could be apart of. No one was trying to outshine anyone else. It was all done for the love of the music and that was depicted in the video. This is something that isnt really seen these days in videos, but since im nostalgic in thought and this is all about taking you back to the “good ole days” I present to you one of the illest duos ever.
