Wow. John Legend and The Roots’ Wake Up! album is shaping up to be dope with their covering of some of soul music’s classic songs. Check out the in-studio footage of them covering Bill Wither’s 1973 record, I Can’t Write Left Handed…which talked about a soldier being shot in Vietnam but could apply to today’s struggle for our U.S. Soldiers who have been to Iraq and Afghanistan. This was one of my favorite songs that was on Withers’ live album so I’m glad to hear a more modern version from Legend and The Roots…
